Palworld developer Pocketpair has released an important new patch for the Steam version of the game. The patch fixes a lot of bugs.
Steam patch v0.1.4.0 fixes a number of crashes and glitches. In addition, a solution has been found for Pals working in your base, breeding and the assignments you give animals.
Some of the issues fixed in this patch are especially funny. For example, there's a fix for a bug where Pals at the base kept cutting down trees that had already been cut down, and a fix for an issue where Pals at the base were on the brink of death because they fell when they weren't.
Another more serious fix was made to prevent the game from always crashing if a Guild had captured more than 7000 Pals. Unfortunately, save data that is already in that status or servers that have this can no longer be used.
The Steam patch is now available, and Pocketpair has stated that patch v0.1.1.3 "will be released when it's ready." This concerns the patch that Xbox players can get started with. Microsoft indicated this week that it is working with Pocketpair to get dedicated servers to the Xbox version of the game.
Palworld is an incredible success. A total of 19 million players have started playing the crafting-survival-monster-catcher game. Steam has the most active players and it is the largest third-party release on Game Pass to date. The game has sold 12 million times on Steam.
